Privacy policy

Effective September 14, 2026. This policy explains what Docklight Studio collects through docklight.dev and our client work, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Docklight Studio is a local web studio in Indian River County, Florida. Questions about this policy go to inquire@docklight.dev.

Information you give us

When you send a quote request, the form collects your name, business name, phone number, email address, business type, and your message. The request is stored in our customer records system so we can reply, prepare a quote, and keep track of the conversation. If that system is unavailable, the request is delivered to our studio inbox through a form delivery service instead. Our separate project inquiry form uses the self-hosted OpenFlow or Form.io service selected for the site and collects the same fields. If you email us, we keep that email and our reply.

Information collected automatically

We measure site visits with Rybbit, an analytics tool we host ourselves. It records pages viewed, the referring site, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and basic events such as starting or sending the contact form. It does not use advertising cookies, and we do not use it to identify you.

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to serve pages and block abuse. Page fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser also contacts Google, which receives your IP address. If the Form.io project inquiry variant is selected, your browser also loads its pinned form renderer from jsDelivr, which receives standard request data for that file.

If you switch between light and dark themes, that preference is saved in your own browser's local storage. It is not sent to us.

How we use it

We use your information to answer requests, prepare quotes and proposals, deliver and support client work, and understand which pages are useful. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google Search Console data

For clients who grant us access, we use a Google OAuth application to read Google Search Console data for their websites. Access is read-only. We use that data only to prepare search research and reports for the site owner, we do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone other than the site owner. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove our access at any time in your Google Account permissions or Search Console user settings, or by asking us.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and client records for as long as they are useful for the working relationship and our business records. Working files from a project, such as raw screenshots and assets, are deleted after the project no longer needs them.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing inquire@docklight.dev. We will answer within a reasonable time.

Children

This site is for businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
